Every dealer got 1 and that's it?

Hello friends,
Talking with the salesman today at Western Honda of Scottsdale, where myself and two buddies are in line with deposits, the salesman told me today that initially every dealer in the nation got one Trail 125, and nobody has gotten another one since. Curious, is that true?

I was told that dealers would get only one bike in the first wave, but I'm hearing of some dealers getting two.

I certainly don't claim to know much about big-brand powersports manufacturing. But...sure seems like there's a LOT of money on the table if they can deliver what the consumers WANT. NOW.

Based on what I've seen I have no doubt that if every Honda Motorcycles dealer in the nation got another one they'd all sell immediately. That's another $4.5 Million in revenue for Honda...waiting for Honda. And they could probably each sell 3+ if they got them.

My buddy who bought his yesterday said it was the 4th one that dealer had sold. What's true, I don't know. Just what he told me. And it was not a Powersports dealer.

Hmm. That begs the question! Western Honda of Scottsdale is one of the higher-volume Honda dealers in AZ and they said they've old received/sold one.

Pretty sure the one went out to all, now the second round is coming out. Probably just depends on who the regional rep likes most!

I kinda think that's the answer. Each regional guy gets X amount to spread around and it's going to be based on relationships.

Lots of dealers out there that haven’t seen one yet.

I actually rode mine up to the dealer I originally wanted to buy from just so they could see it!

How does that feel? How does it feel at night to open the garage, peek inside, and see a Trail 125 staring back at you? I ask because many of us don't know, and won't know for some time. Go ahead and rub it in.

They did order one when they first announced availability? I would guess unless they were in on the first order cycle they were out of round one...

Glad to be on here. First post. Whoo-hoo!
Our local Honda Powersports got my deposit over a month ago. I was number 6 in line with deposits. Was told they would get one or two a month. So, I knew I was going to wait a while, I figured sometime in the spring. Sounded OK to me since its too cold and snowy to ride.
Got a call this last Thursday (today is Saturday) letting me know my bike had arrived and could I come, fill paperwork, etc. and pick it up? Wow! What a surprise.
Went in, checked it out, paid the balance, but they are keeping it because snow and cold. The roads are decent enough now and I have cold weather gear, so I'm tempted to ride it back 10 miles or so to my house. Happy to know it has arrived.

I have two 125's on the list at Western also since September, they keep putting the date out later, I've heard from other dealers that they're not expecting any until April

Congrats! Careful, somebody else might walk in and offer them $2K over MSRP for it.
