Other mods are 2L auxiliary tank fitted ...

Peli bier table ...

Opmid speedo/computer ...

BarkBusters ...

Rack'n roll ...

12v outlet for charging the battery or camping light or whatever ...

Front and rear wheel spindles drilled and split pins fitted ...

There are no pinch bolts on these axles, and if a nut was to come loose, be lost, there's nothing to keep the spindle in situ, the wheel would become loose!

I have a pal with his own business, he powder coats them for me. His business isn't powder coating but making waste bins and roadside salt bins which he powder coats. He got a CT125 Hunter Cub from the shipment after mine

Had business in Sheffield today, so had a ride out to Derbyshire for a breakfast ....

Exhaust a little noisy perhaps, but certainly pulls better up the hills. Yoshimura claim 1hp but that's 10%

That'll do nicely thank you ....

The other motorcyclists at the cafe gathered round the Adventure Cub like flies round a corpse ...

The breakfast was OK but uninspiring ...

I have just seen this post and would like to say you have done some very well thought out mods/extras to your bike .
I am interested to know which one do you think is the most worth while upgrade from stock?
I am impressed with the opmid but I also know the suspension is a good choice .
Also did you notice a performance increase with the claimed 1hp increase with the exhaust.
Well impressed what you are doing both with the bike and your adventures.
Keep posting updates and ride safe.

Ha Ha I should imagine that if you fit all those in one day and celebrate after each install both the speed and quality of work would drop off.(and maybe some of the accessories)==

I'm an inveterate tinkerer and farkler .... I can't leave my bike's standard. They are my hobby and pleasure, my life and my leisure.

The Yoshimura exhaust claims 1bhp power gain .... but that equates to 10% and you can certainly feel the difference climbing the hills, it pulls much better. Not a lot, but noticeable Sounds much nicer too, not noisy but nicer

The standard suspension was spine jarring when you hit a pot hole in the road .... you can't miss them all, dodge six of 'em but the seventh will get you. Noticeable improvement from the moment of fitting, but I need to wind back the preload on the rear a couple of turns. Still a little harsh, a lot better, but still room for improvement. Because of the exhaust (standard exhaust would be the same) and the nearside pannier, it's going to be easier to take the rear suspension units off to adjust. Work in progress so watch this space!

Nudging a thousand miles on this latest adventure .... England, Scotland, Ireland and to Wales on the ferry in the morning

Just acquired a '23MY HC and this post has given me much inspiration! It's also frightened the other half and the bank manager (are these the same?!)

Are there good UK sources for stuff or do you go international? Yoshi exhaust in particular looks (and must certainly sound) cool!

Hi Tim thanks for the above. I use WeBike, Japan, and can recommend them unreservedly

I was pointed towards them by a guy in Ravenglass, Cumbria, who has a collection of high end and exotic Japanese motorcycles. T'was a good enough recommendation for me ....

An English importer wanted about £300 more for the full Yoshimura exhaust than WeBike did. It was delivered quickly and well packaged. Sent to a Royal Mail 'holding' office' while I paid the import and delivery at this end .... still all far cheaper than the the UK company we're asking. In truth it was delivered before they asked me for the money! I've since bought YSS suspension (as above) front and rear, for the CT125 'Adventure Cub'

Register with WeBike and order with confidence. I have no connection with the firm other than as a satisfied customer

Its very well made and looks every bit as good as the Öhlins my pal fitted to his CT125

A little bit hard to start with even with all preload taken off the rear springs so I manually wound the collar back off one turn.
Not really had chance to ride the 'bike since .... but certainly better than stock

Hey Micky, really nice set-up ! love the exhaust, What can you tell me about the auxilliary fuel tank ? how is it attached, and where did you get it?

Sorry for the delay in replying .... touring Scotland in my CamperVan, the Highlands and Islands, with my dawg.

The fuel tank is a 2L plastic made specifically for carrying fuel, or oil. It came from Wunderlich but they are available from many outlets.
The holder/bracket was from Touratech for fitting said 2L containers on the rear of my BMW 1150GSA panniers.
Fastened to the Hunter Cubs engine protection bar with 'P' clips. Rubber inserts, one one way, other t'other way round, if you know what I mean, which then made the petrol container vertical .... how handy was that ;-)

Originally fitted to the right hand side but I realised that if it were to leak for whatever reason, petrol would drip on to the spark plug or high tension cable .... or a hot exhaust :-(

So refitted to the nearside to negate that problem ... and an added bonus was that it was now less conspicuous. Ferries now do not allow additional fuel containers ... but I've travelled several seas since and not had a problem. Was once asked what was in the container and I just said "water" .... no problem!

Here you can see the top 'P' clip ...

Here you can see the 'offset' ... one clip one way, t'other clip t'other way that keeps the aux tank vertical ;-)

The filler neck of those particular 2L containers are too small for the petrol pump nozzles. so I kept a small funnel handy. If and when used I would refill at the pumps and put just 1 1/2 (one and a half, maybe one and three quarters of a litre) petrol In, leaving room for expansion, and continue to filling the main tank!

Here again you can see the 'P' clips and how they keep the tank vertical on the sloping engine protection bar ...
