I recently changed/upgraded the tires on my Trail to a set of Shinko's. I saved the Stock tires and have them if anyone wants them. They have ~1,200, mostly street miles on them (maybe 50 miles of dirt; no damage to them, no punctures). They seemed to work fine on pavement, but didn't do what I wanted them to off-road. Both have lots of tread left, the rear is slightly more worn then the front. Had I not wanted a set of knobbies for this bike I likely would have run these same tires for a few more years.

I'm not really interested in shipping them, if someone local in Southern California wants them, you can have them. I'm in the city of Orange but travel all over So.Cal. for work and am happy to drop them-off to someone if need-be.

It often seems like our society gets more and more polarized but these things that we love hold us together. I say this because you offered these to anyone who could use them, I've seen bikers from all points on the spectrum helping other bikers who may have conflicting personal beliefs but they're on 2 wheels so they get a pass. There ARE exceptions with the occasional d-bags, but the 2-wheel crowd has been through basic training together, we've had communion, we've been hazed, held back a grade, graduated, etc.
Sorry for this OT chatter, but your post hit a soft spot. With any luck you'll have a great story about the recipient!

Thanks for the compliment!

It's very true, that people who ride generally don't snub other riders and will try to help-out if they can. I see the similar 'help each other out' attitude in the air-cooled VW world and sometimes in the off-roading world (though not as often as I used to).

I'm a firm believer that if I can help someone else out with something I have, I will. Plus the last time I moved I realized just how much 'stuff' I was keeping 'for parts' or 'because I'll use it one day' or 'this was a really good deal'. I've since tried to stop hoarding things which can generally be replaced easily. That said I tend to gravitate towards old, obscure vehicles so hoarding some parts is a necessity, but that's also why I have a shed LOL!

I'm hoping someone will be able to use these tires, even if they're not going to be used on a Trail. I hate putting ads on Craigslist for Free items but if no one on this forum wants them then that may be my next step.

Thanks again for the kind words!
