Fricken cactus

Took a header into a cactus today, got my forehead and right hand, wasn't riding at the time, helping a guy pull up a fence post and slipped and fell. I hate cactus

When he retired my Father got really into growing Cacti. Even joined a Succulent club and planted various types of Cacti around the house where he and my Mother lived (this was not in the desert, rather in urban So.Cal maybe 30 minutes from the beach). When he passed my Mother learned how to care for Cacti in an environment where they really aren't meant to be. Fifteen years later my Mother decided to re-landscape her yard. Pretty much all the Cacti have now been replaced with more typical types of plants. She did keep one or two, one which produces a flower which only lasts a day which is nice. As someone who got pricked by some of that Cacti on more then one occasion while working in the yard or on the house, I wasn't sad to see them go. She saved and potted one for me to take to my house. It's been almost a year and I've yet to move it LOL!
