Another tire to consider, these Heidenau K 46,
I've not had a lot of luck with the shinko's eather for my lack of skills mounting them, or they are out of round or perhaps the ones I got were defective.
So with these, I've eather got something good, I accidentally did something right or what ever.
But they went on nice, are round and at least for a knobby, run smoothly. No balancing and no fuss. I've been running the GP 5s for my winter commuting and have had no issues mounting them eather. The K 46 tire costs a little more about 70 bucks each but for me was well worth it. They kinda look like the shinko 241, but definitely a stiffer compound.
