Hi everyone. I just bought my CT125 a week ago, and it is the last bike, in our state here in Australia. I want to put fog light/ spotlight on it, triggered by high beam. Any help and advise from you all is much appreciated especially photos, videos and wiring diagrams.

If you want to plug an extension cable into the headlight plug and tap the wires on that instead of tapping the high beam wire directly at the wiring harness, there is an Aliexpress extension cable you can buy for that documented in this post: https://hondatrail125.com/index.php?threads/alternator-stator-output.9/page-2#post-7485

This post has the service manual, the back of it is the wiring diagram:

The wiring is a very small gauge due to the headlight being LED, so if you want to bring more lights on with the highbeam you will likely want to use a relay, at which point you it may be easier and cheaper for you to just run the fog light / spot light independent of the high beam and with its own switch.

Thanks Dmonkey, I will look into the headlight plug. I want to use a relay, and I tried using a multimeter on the headlight plug, but unfortunately I cannot find the high beam wire that can trigger the relay.

Thanks all for the responses. This is not my first bike, but I get the feeling it will be my favorite! I look forward to posting and sharing my experiences.

I’m on LI, use my trail as my daily commuter to work 13 miles each way. I also take it up to the hunter mountain area every few weeks. Welcome to the board
