Yeah, you got some fuel range there. Cool to see a GTO, don't see many on the road. Have you tested your real world MPG's yet?

I can chime in on mpg numbers. 101mpg. This is with a 240lbs rider wringing the neck of this bike going 45-50mph almost everywhere. At sea level.

Every bike or car I've owned I always get lower mpg than other people so literally YMMV.

Thanks! So, it's good to know that 101mpg is probably the worst it'll do. I am 5'7" and 180lbs, and I'll probably zip it around at 1/2-2/3rds throttle, so time will tell. I am excited to find out....someday. I get the YMMV thing. For 7 years my wife and I had a 2005 Chevy Suburban 2wd that was oddly fuel efficient. People didn't believe me unless I could demonstrate for them. But the way I had it set up with tires and the way I drove it, I got 10mpg better than most folks with same vehicle. So yes, the YMMV thing is real.

Questions about your Trail-125:
> Is that big gas can attached? If so, how?
> Nice looking box. Source? Link, etc.?
> Have you ridden it yet with that setup? I'm not a huge fan of topheavy bike setups, especially for off-pavement riding.
That big gas can alone suggests a LOT of high-axis weight. How does it feel, rolling?

1. Nah, I posted this as a joke. It fit right there on the rack and I personally found the thought of a 650+ mile range kind of funny, so i posted it. However, no reason I couldn't strap it down and actually take it with me.

2. Box info thread: https://hondatrail125.com/index.php?threads/givi-trekker-outback-mounted.52/

3. The top box empty does not affect handling at all. Loaded up I'm sure it'll have some effect but doubt it will be that bad. The key is to keep the lighter stuff in there that you want to keep secure and not wet. Tools and other heavy items should be stored down low, or in my case, in front of the box in a dry bag to keep mass centralized as much as possible.

Yeah, about 200 miles stock, my baja bike only has about a 130 range and that has not been an issue. I do know the shacks selling gas in jugs tho!

Love to see the GTO. I've had three of them. Impulse Blue Metallic 04, Black/Red interior 05, and a Brazen orange 06. Wish I had the '05 back. Yours is an 04 or 05. I can tell by the red taillights. I have a thing for red cars. Have a '66 Buick Wildcat, '71 Cutlass convertible, '76 Cutlass Salon, 2006 Pontiac Solstice (bought new, has 4200 miles), and a 2020 Subaru WRX for the daughter. All are red. Oh, and a Mercedes GLE450 is Cardinal red as well.

You have owned some sweet vehicles! I liked the black ‘06 GTO with the 6.0 and manual trans. Wanted one, but was I college.

The three GTOs are all gone, but I still have the others listed. Plus a few more that aren't red. 2007 Shelby GT500 and 2019 Bullitt Mustang. Daily driver is a salvaged 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. Low key and under the radar for Walmart and Costco runs. I've been blessed with a good business and very patient wife. The cars are represent the drugs, hookers, and gambling losses I didn't have! I put the '66 Wildcat in my avatar.

It's an '04. I originally was looking for an Impulse Blue when the '04s went on fire sale, but only could find the this red one, and damn, got it for a song. The Brazen Orange '06 was an awesome color as well.

Honestly I've thought about selling it many times, but then I drive it and that goes away! These cars are true gems, truly just FUN to drive. Meat-and-potatoes engineering so it may just run forever.
