The dealership in Coos Bay, Oregon received confirmation that they have three being shipped in late April. Two are still up for grabs if you want to make a deposit.

There are also two (out of ten!) available at the Salem, Oregon dealer. They received confirmation that ten will ship to them as well, and pre sold eight already.

Both dealers are asking $5000, so a stiff markup but not the worst I’ve heard.

I basically called every Honda dealer from Spokane south to Klamath Falls, and almost every one to the west as well. Out of over a dozen, those two were the only ones with confirmed shipping dates. Turmeric here I come…….

Crazy to think that dealers are getting double-digit allocations and still charging markup. Must be a West Coast thing.

Ten is insane. My dealer is getting four. Are they some sort of Honda-only dealer to get that kind of allocation?

East coast seems to be MSRP plus fees on Honda bikes.

I can assure you I’m none too happy about the markup, but the least expensive quote I got was $4500….and no idea when or if they would get any.

Every dealership I spoke to had a waiting list of at least a half dozen names, some as many as twenty! Now combine that with the limited number of bikes available and it is easy to see why dealers are being high handed.

It just so happened that I called soon after they got confirmation and the salesman let me have it because I was willing to put down an immediate deposit. He said their experience was that better than 50% of the people on the waiting list would turn it down.

I have been seeing a TON of used Trails on Marketplace, most with less than 1000 miles. Not sure why anyone would pay that markup.

People want the version with the filter in the engine (although 2023's are showing up used also). But more importantly I think the yellow is really speaking to some people -- I'm one of those. With my dealer not charging prep fees, none of these examples below are that far off from new after tax and titling is paid for. The used market for these seems to be drying up in my area, it was pretty flooded a few weeks ago.

And there you have it, I want a 2023 or later engine, and all the used bikes I’ve been seeing are 2022. Most are priced very close to MSRP, so actually not a significant savings in my opinion. Plus I’ve not seen one that was reasonably close, as in less than one or two states away. Add in travel time and expenses and boom, over MSRP!

Plus the first one I ever rode back around 1970 or ‘71 was yellow

I was happy to travel to get mine for msrp so I wasn't putting money into the pocket of the greedy local dealer. it is inexcusable to be changing mark ups.

That's too bad their greedy. I purchased mine back in 2022. There were only 4 for sale in the entire state of Florida and fortunately one dealer had two of them....but 3 hours away and did not mark them up. $3995 but after shipping/setup tax/registration etc....it was almost $4800

I like the yellow. I had a mint yellow 1978 for my wife and a 1986 110 for me. Wish I had never sold them.... Nice to have a 2022. Too bad no hi-low trans.

My comments may be a bit misleading, that cost included shipping and setup.

the doc fee for these bikes is 300 dollars so that should be the only "fee" from the dealer end( I paid 4299 plus nevada tax and registration for my 2023, so msrp plus the 300 doc fee and tax) anything else is a mark up, and considering Oregon doesn't have sales tax 5000 is still scummy. not a bad price at all mind you and I certainly dont intend to insult the buyer, but I do mean all offense to the dealers. they disgust me, paying 5000 isnt even that large of a mark up which begs the question why are they even bothering with that at all?
