Possible to mount a carrier on the trailer tongue?Last weekend I moved my Travel Trailer up to the mountains for the summer but didn't get a chance to finish the rear MC Carrier I'd been designing before we had to take it up there. No matter as one of the Engineers I work with thinks that for my purposes (15' single axle vintage travel trailer) that the added weight to the rear of my travel trailer would have a negative effect on my tongue weight, especially since I don't run any sort of stabilizers on my hitch.
As I stated previously last summer I used a hitch mount carrier which worked well, but was a pain having to move from the rear hitch to the front hitch and to deal with storing at the campsite. I think for this summer I'm just going to remove the hard-mount Tonneu cover I have on my Tacoma (which is a pain) and just carry my Trail in the back of my truck. It'll probably have to go in on a diagonal but that should be fine.
Sometimes the simpliset solutions are the easiest.
