Hi all.

Wondering if anyone has any long term reviews on the Kenda K270?
Ideally I’d be looking at the Shinko 244 but I’m after the 2.75 which appear not available, in Australia at least.
I’ve been through a 241 in less than 500 miles however that is fully laden with camping gear/fuel/water and on some pretty unforgiving trails so I’m looking for an alternative. With a little more off road focus.
I’ve considered the Vee Rubber VRM 022 but the Kenda appears to have 8 ply construction vs the Vee Rubbers 6. Not sure if that means much. Also Kenda perhaps seems a more reputable brand with far more positive reviews on other dual sport/ADV forums. Price is similar here in Australia.
Treat pattern seems very similar between the K270, 022 and the 244.
Wondering if Trail/CT125 riders have anything to add Re the Kendas on our bikes?
Interested in your replies and experiences.
Cheers heaps
Clancy.

What size Kenda K270 are you looking to run? Asking because I don't see any sizes that are likely to fit the CT125, but the size availability I'm seeing in the USA might be different than what is offered in your Australian market. Others on this forum are running Kenda 262, it has a trials block tread pattern rather than the more trail / dual sport tread on the K270 though.

As an aside, if you haven't seen the Tires Megathread it might be of interest to you.

You might be the first one to try them on a CT125 if you do end up purchasing them. If you do, please let us know how they are! That is not a size that's available in the USA market, looks like it might be specific to Australia. Kenda Product Code: K2895

Though the tire tread pattern doesn't look directional, be sure to check the sidewall of the tire for a directional arrow before mounting. Ran into that running a "rear" K270 as a front tire on a TW200. Probably not very important for low speed putting around though.
