Key Code Location on Honda Trail 125 2021?

Does the keyhole shutter appear damaged? If not it might just need some dry lubricant (graphite, teflon, or silicone) and wiggling a key or pick against it to free it up.

Thanks. I could give that a try. To me it looks like the door isn't damaged but maybe a spring that's supposed to push it in place has fallen off or been damaged. Bike's never been in the elements so to speak so it's definitely not corrosion. I could definitely live with it as is but when you buy something new with a warranty you want everything to be just right

Mine does that sometimes too. I've never pursued remedying it since my other dual-sport bike has the same issue so I just figure my Honda is just trying to emulate that bike LOL!

As Dmonkey said, I would try lubing it since that's likely all the dealer is going to do. I doubt that they would replace the ignition cylinder just for this issue.

I had a spare key made. It was done on a duplicator machine I have not seen before.
First, the locksmith was trying to check if the OEM key had a chip. Different chip sensors read 'Negative'.
$8 including the blank key.
