This seems to be an exhaust I have not seen before. Looks like it is stainless and has mounts for the OE heat shields. I asked and they said they ship overseas. price looks to be $147 US. Not sure about shipping. Anyone know about this?

Has anyone tried swapping a grom exhaust into a trail? Or does annoy have knowledge on doing so? Was trying to make a post about it but “I don’t have permission to do so”

I would imagine 3-4 lbs weight savings. Weight is inversely proportional to speed baby. I have asked them what shipping would be to Cali so we will see if it is worth it.

It would definitely require modification. The Grom has a low exhaust, the Honda Trail 125 has a high exhaust like a Scrambler.
That said, @DanW put 1 exhaust from a CRF250R on his CT125, so anything's possible with modification.

I had my trail next to a grom and engines are the same and mounted the same way the only thing I saw that would be in the way was the skid plate which I don’t got off-roading at all I drove it to work daily. Only other thing that would be an issue is mounting spots

theres no benefit of the grom exhaust on a trail. (performance wise at least). Im tempted to make one eventually, I made one for my grom, it was really good but was also pushing out close to30 hp. i already did the headpipe and decat, and muffler mods. it def flows better but thats not the biggest restriction by far. .02

That doesn't sound worth the investment to me.
It's most of the same benefits you'd get from an aftermarket exhaust on any other vehicle, and that's fine, some mods aren't for everyone. With this bike I imagine aesthetics are the deciding factor for most decisions to add farkles. In general, motorcyclists are vain. Can be vain and practical though!

Outex sell a baffle for mine that is supposed to get it down to 79dB @ 3500 rpm which has tempted me, but then I ride trails with people who have FMF pipes that are way louder than my Outex and I end up deciding against it. I wear ear plugs on the bike anyway so it's muffled background noise for me.

to me.. that defeats any real benefit of an aftermarket exhaust.
In may i saw a BMW (old boxer) on the dyno (was pretty nice custom) with aftermarket exhaust. 1st run was w the quiet core. it put down 44 at rear wheel. they took the quiet cores out, it jumped past 62 at rear wheel with no other mods. Im not kidding, this was at the meltdown in Hendersonville, NC, Halls was running the dyno. The owner threw the baffles in the trash at the show. lol. .

Yeah, the Outex baffle is inline (there are also different tip sizes that change the sound) which is unfortunate, if the baffle was just at the tip of the exhaust like on some other aftermarket ones you could very easily take them out and put them back in. That's what I did on my Ducati Scrambler's Termignoni exhaust for long road trips, I'd just pop them back in with 1 hex bolt and have a much quieter ride.
