I have had a dozen or so CT90s over the past few decades. Sold the last one a few months ago and I miss it. I thought the new Hunter Cubs would be in Canada by now but it looks like it might be a long wait. In six decades of motorcycling I have never owned a brand new motorcycle, so I think that the time has come. If the Hunter Cub is not available in Canada by spring of '23 I might have to import one from south of the border. In the meantime, I'll have to be content with poring over the accessory catalogues and shop manuals. Does anyone have opinions as to which accessories are most useful?

I added the front blinkers running light kit. They are very bright and add to my being visible to others. Do a search for running lights and you will see my post on it. I think there is a picture as well.

If you'll be riding offroad, the stock front tire washes out easily with turns. Switching to something with some bite from the Tires Megathread is useful as a fix for that. Not something to buy in advance due to shelf life, but you'll have time to research and watch YouTube reviews at least.

Does anyone have opinions as to which accessories are most useful?

My overall statement on mods that I like

• Immediately (or almost immediately) removing the stock chain and replacing it with a sealed XLink chain so you only have to replace the chain, not the sprockets as well. (kinda pricey, straightforward but time consuming)
• USB install + Quadlock phone mount with stabilizer and wireless charging kit. (intermediate, involved, cheap for the USB, $$$ for the Quadlock)
• Gold Plug swap on first oil change. - cheap, very quick and easy
• Seat upgrade if you're doing any decent amount of riding or on bumpy terrain. - very quick and easy (2 bolts), pricey
• Suspension upgrades if you're heavy. (??? expensive to very expensive, involved; I'd do the seat mod before I do this one every time if I had to choose)
• Milk crate on the back is 10/10 good idea and not that expensive (be sure to search the forums for suggestions on avoiding scratching the paint)

I like the shift support but I'd be happy riding a bike that didn't have one if I was borrowing it. I'd actually be unhappy about not having the other ones.
I feel similarly about the OPMID cluster upgrade (expensive, involved). I really love the upgrade but I'd be very happy riding without it.
