New Sprockets, New Tire

In trying to gear this thing down I had changed the front sprocket to a 13 tooth but for my use found that was still too fast so today changed the rear to the JTR269.42 from JT Sprockets, 42 tooth. Now am wishing I had gotten the 45 tooth rear sprocket as these changes made some difference but I wanted even lower gearing. Also added an O-Ring chain, started out with a 118 link chain not knowing what I needed but ended cutting off the excess as shown in the picture. Also changed the rear tire to a 3” Shinko 241, have the front 2.75” Shinko yet to do. And yes the ABS light came on. As has been suggested, I now need to put some miles on the bike before doing anything else.

What kind of riding do you do to want gearing that low?
My riding is totally off pavement, on cow trails that go up over and down hills some of which are sandy, across cultivated fields, across grassy pastures. That's about it. It's a ranch bike not a street bike that I need.

We had someone else on the forum who ran a 14T paired with a JTR 269.45, one of the two members who did a better job of documenting their installs with photos. He needed it for similar reasons.

@Coldrider, did you try to solve the JTR groove problem where the OEM nuts on the rear cog will sit slightly off the surface due to being larger than the groove? (Ref to someone else pointing out this problem)

Didn’t realize there was a problem with the ridge on the JTR sprocket but after looking at it this morning I see there is. I reused the original bolts & nuts, tightened them down. The sprocket is not loose but possibly some thin washers could be used
