Congrats I always appreciate people doing it the right way. If you are willing to go through that much work and time you are bound to be a good citizen.
I have very complex thoughts on what "the right way" is for legally becoming a citizen. My dad worked for Aussie immigration for 15 years in the same role as the officer I sat across from yesterday, so I have an immense amount of empathy in this area for everyone who seeks the permanent pathway to the American way of life. I have a preference, of course, but I have empathy.

I think I'm immeasurably lucky more than anything. Both for my pathway here, and to be a citizen today.

Congratulations! I'm really glad to see that some people are still willing to put forth the work and effort it takes to become a Citizen! I was born here, though a couple of years ago I volunteered to be a sponsor for a friend's GF who wanted to become a citizen. She didn't make it very far in the process before decding not to proceed with it.

Does this mean I'm not riding the cdt with a mad Aussie, just another plain ol American citizen 🤣 . Congrats on doing it the old way.
