So your logic makes no sense, you say it's a dick move and annoying but in he same sentence say it's "laughable" that it makes you more noticable. Which is it? How can I be annoying but not noticed? I also resent your insuation that I'm not courteous to other people. I do however value my life.

I do agree a thousand suns isn't going to save you from an otherwise distracted driver.

if it makes no difference.. why do it. thats my point. its noticeable either way.. and being annoyed about doesn't make you sissy. it makes you more aware of how some people only think of themselves . thats all I have to say about the matter.

They're are drivers who have their eyes open but still can't distinguish a single light of a motorcycle...they're not texting...they're the one pulling out in front of a speeding motorcycle because they didn't "see" them...look at the stats of how many bikers die this way...

I’ve posted and deleted on this a few times. I’m surprised it’s so contentious. Every vehicle made today has daylight driving lights specifically because it does make you more noticeable. I don’t know if high beams during the day make you even more noticeable or not. What I can say is that when I am on my 800 lb black and chrome Harley with straight pipes - this beast is LOUD - I still have clueless people cut me off or change lanes into my spot. Honestly, I hate how loud the bike is, but it will be someone else’s problem soon enough.

At night I think that high beams are more blinding than anything else. When I am driving on back roads and someone with LED’s is coming at me, I can‘t even see the road. But during the day, very bright lights may get a bit more attention. The real problem, at least in Eastern MA, is that almost every driver on the road is looking at their phone, not the road.

The trail lights don’t shine in people’s eyes unless maaaaybe if it’s a lowered car.The looking at a flashlight right in your eyes argument would be the same if you get down and stare in the headlight low or high beams. Wouldn’t be fun either way. Bigger bikes with actual bright lights would annoy folks during the day no doubt but no chance this mini moto is throwing light in people’s eyes during the day. ESP around me where everyone’s driving trucks.

here's why it irritates me to no end. its blatant disregard for everyone else on the road. If someone's looking at their phone, you could have flashing blue lights coming at you and they still wont notice. So, there's no point. I also feel the same way about headlight modulators.
I just thought of an analogy for people riding with their high beams during the day: it’s like someone makes an online posts in an effort to get attention, all we have to do is not look at it....just keep driving..., I mean scrolling. I know,it’s hard to do; I just did it. Now, the question is, can you look away?
