How are you guys going to keep your bikes from getting taken. Aside from insurance? I know, if someone wants it bad enough, it’ll get taken. These bikes are going to be high theft items, I think?

At 260lbs stock, it's possible for two people to pick it up and carry it away on a pickup truck...then again, some of the CTs here are well over 360lbs and growing so that's a definite theft deterrent... 😄

I think these are going to be high value targets. Especially since, as was said upthread, that two guys can pick it up and put it in a truck.

I bought a cable and lock for when I'm out and about. I thought about looking for a sticker that claims GPS tracking. I'm fearless when it comes to defending what's mine.

Outside of us rabid fans, and those who walk by and see them as really cool, I’m not sure all the concern is justified, at least in my town. My 2 1974’s lived in the driveway for 10+ years and are 100#’s lighter.
I don’t remember hearing of grom, monkey, or super Cub thefts. E-mountain bikes start at our msrp and go up, they aren’t registered with the dmv.

The disk locks I posted above are pretty solid for $40 if you want a little more piece of mind. We love and get the “rarity” of the bike, a cat off a Prius it’s worth more to a tweaker...

Any way, protect it as you see fit!

I also recently learned the front wheel can be locked to the left like other big bikes. you just press down on the key and turn all the way left with the wheel turned. had no idea it would do that. I also just found after my first tank of gas an allen key under the seat for the tool box and plastics. I was thinking why would they build this tool box and require a tool to open it. tool is under the seat.

People are bold here. It's a minor nuisance to lock it up like a bicycle. I did look up some stats and it's not that common. A lot of pros will hv bolt cutters. I'll be in Oregon soon where I won't be concerned.

I just received this today: https://www.invoxia.com/us

A cat on FB has one, and we messaged back and forth awhile about it. I got if from Amazon $136, with a two year subscription. $39 per year after that. I also put Comp and Collision on it.
Hey Tony,

Matt from Invoxia here.

We've only been on market in the U.S. for a couple months, so I'm happy to see that our trackers are finding a home in the 125 community.

I'd love to hear about your experience using the tracker in Vegas. Don't hesitate to reach out.

Best,
Matt

Hi Matt,

I like it. It's going to work out fine. I'll feel a lot better about leaving it when I'm in a shop.

Will it work out of cell service?
Unfortunately, like all GPS Trackers it requires a network connection to report its position. While it will continue to calculate its position, it won't have a way of communicating this information to you.

If you are within a short distance (30 yards), our tracker also has a 'Proximity Radar' function which uses bluetooth to accurately identify the tracker's location. This functionality doesn't require cell service to work.

I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for, but I hope it clears things up for you!

Glad to hear it Tony.

We'll be improving the anti-theft functionality in the coming months that should make our tracker even better for this sort of use-case.

I did not lock it up like a bicycle just wheel lock today when I went to Walmart just to fill up 2 four gallon water jugs and someone was filling a lot of 1 gallon jugs so I was a little worried it would be gone as I waited. It was different riding with all that weight but we made it.

I live in Las Vegas, and these kind of things are perfect target of opportunity, spur of the moment thefts.
