fyi: if the shifter annoys you, a hammerhead brand cr dirtbike shift lever will fit right on as well. (foldable tip/red is nice ;) ) I havent done that as of yet (prob won't) but experience from the grom. i did have to move my CT shifter a bit, rotate the front UP one spline to be able to get my boot under it comfortably. drops the heel shifter as well. had to loosen the footpeg mount quite a bit to move out of the way.

Has anyone swapped it out for a dirt bike shifter or hammerhead? Looking for a specific model or example of what would work.

Thanks

Thank you for the suggestion, is this one that you have tried? I ask because ours have the nut going in perpendicular to the shaft and these go in up and down vertically, and ours are raised to sit above the shaft and these are level and appear to angle downward. I assume that there is clearance for the nut position to both sit and to tighten and for angling these upward to get the right position? Also, I’ll probably try and find one with a rubber texture to save my shoes. I thought about just hacking the back off, but it looks like it’s a $136 OEM part.

The IMS I ordered didn't fit at all. While I had the footpegs down, I moved the heel shifter up. I'm going to take it for a spin and see how it feels.

Rotating the shifter up worked well for me, that's the easy solution. I think you'll like it.

I rotated the front up and toe shift only, I can still use the heel if I need to though.
