hello my CT Brothers and Sisters,
my brother and I set out for our first CT adventure with the intent to learn how to ADV it on the CT and must Posit that the machines performed beautifully in some of the most challenging of terrain!preparation included completing break in service, rehearsing you tube videos on common issues and flat repair along with packing essentials relative to adventure. one of many things we discovered was its ability to negotiate everything you put in front of it and as long as you can keep it upright it will go over it. The bike took on deep water like an amphibious assault vehicle and rolled on through Without difficulty. The Esther was extremely unfavorable making conditions a bit treacherous and not worth pushing through with only about 300/500 miles completed. Oh gee, just have to go back for more fun To put closure on the course. There were numerous downed trees from storm we encountered with 18” diameter tree across trail but there so light we just lifted them over and on we went. We encountered many riders on giant dual sports loaded down and all shared frustration about having to either turn back or use ropes and manpower to recover bikes off trail or to get the, past logs. The latter sometimes ended up back tracking succumbing to impassable route D/T bikes too heavy to get over obstacles on trails. the bikes ran about 100 or so a day and never required the additional fuel we carried. I will add that the stock tires often “ catch an edge” on craggy terrain and can drive front end into unfavorable angles. We are going to add good dual sport knobby tires, crash bar and harming instead of small screen phone with Gai.3759093E-D102-4B9B-B859-38CF9316BBDB.jpegCD4AEF2E-5628-4E4E-8CAB-6E82976E6553.jpegDB0AA10B-BFC1-48FB-97EA-1EB89943E27C.jpegBDB45EEC-0F1E-4C22-9362-0827F0D86D87.jpeg9864AAFF-A885-415B-A477-268E6179BC77.jpeg721F8EBA-EB05-42A6-AE69-7C6FEDCFB86A.jpeg
