That seems slow, depending on your size. As I said in a previous tread, I'm 160 pounds right out of the shower and I've had my LRD up to 60 mph (GPS confirmed) on a long, level straight-away on several occasions. Of course, that's as long as there's no head wind. It will do 55 mph without a problem, but as soon as you even think 'hill' it will slow down.the bike seems not to want to run faster than 45 mph and got to 51 mph once. seen on Utube bike going over 50 does it get faster when broke in? i have 100 miles on it so far.
Yeah, I normally shift at 20, 30, and 40 mph unless I'm just putting around. I ride my wife's little 49cc Ruckus at 40 mph.I ride mine at 12-15 mph, if I'm going 20, its no fun. Guess I'm different
I've got Shinko 241s on mine. They didn't seem to slow me down by more than 1 mph over the stock tires.Max 51 GPS for me. Guess it’s a blend of weight, fuel type and tyre profile - but yes, the engine will free up a bit with mileage
What are the variables? If he is a heavy rider at a high elevation the little bike may not be able to reach 55?I'm pretty sure the point of this post wasn't how slow somebody can or does ride on, but why it has a hard time hitting 50+. If i rode around at 20 mph id get run over by traffic.
