I want one of those exhaust guards
LmkI have one I’m planning to sell. I had to remove it to install the pannier racks.
Great thought on insurance covering the helmet and jacket. Didn't even occur to me. I will definitely investigate. Thanks for the tip!Glad the gear did its job!!! I don't know if you're filing a claim to replace the couple things on the bike but insurance should also cover new helmet and jacket.
Agreed. Money on gear is the best money I have spent by far! Thoughts during the crash were a sarcastic "Really?" right before impact and while I was crashing and sliding "I am surprised that I am not yet devastatingly hurt" followed by "Hit my head hard on the ground - check" followed by "It is really taking a long time to stop". Then finally after movement stopped I was like, "I should wait a moment and assess myself before getting up" then "nope! My leg is under the exhaust and the bike is still running, time to act". Through the entire ordeal, I didn't really have time to get terrified. My thoughts are now, must get replacement gear and how do I avoid deer in the future. That is a tough thought.Wow, this is why you invest in good gear. Bike looks like it did pretty well, at least cosmetically. Glad you and the bike are seemingly alright. Must have been terrifying in the moment.
The exhaust guard is awesome! I had to put it on in a different way due to my Takegawa exhaust but I think it is perfect because it hugs the exhaust much better. I will make a full accessories video once I finalize all the bits.I want one of those exhaust guards
Deer seem to be much more prevalent this year. I even was riding at mid-day to avoid deer to some extent. Didn't seem to work! This is a great reminder and P.S.A.
