If I was a betting man I'd say Thailand, Japan and Australia. They could sale more in the US than those places for a few years if they would make and send them. For the long haul year after year the steady market IMHO will be SE Asia.

The Trail 125 launched in Japan, Thailand, and Australia in 2020, before the USA in 2021.
If you search for CT125 videos on YouTube you'll find many from owners in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, USA, and some from Australia and New Zealand (grey market?). My guess would be that Japan and Thailand have the most unit sales, especially with the timing advantage over the USA. From it's 2019 Tokyo motor show debut, I got the impression that the Hunter Cub 125 is targeted at the Japanese market first, international market second. It isn't uncommon for motorcycles built in Thailand to not have Thailand as their target demographic, but luckily for the CT125 they still get it.

Here in Thailand, I have seen only 3 CT's in the wild and one of those belonged to the owner of Beezdeals. The other 2 were ridden by riders in in their late 20's early 30's I would guess. They are built here but the dealerships here are still saying up to a 3 month wait to get one so at present seeing on on the road is more rare then spotting a wild elephant. We got very lucky and got our 2 CT's in just under a month. Also, while they are much less expensive here (mine were about $27000 each out the door) they are still very expensive for average Thais. You can get a brand new Click 160i for about $1800 and a Scoopy or Wave is even less. An interesting side story about who is buying them...when I stopped into the dealership in Chiang Mai (very norther part of Thailand) to see if they could get them, they said no CT for you as all available order slots had been placed by Chiang Mai police officers who all bought them with their own personal money to use to take donated food and other items up into the mountains to the hill tribe people. I was happy to miss out for such a good cause!

There's a forum thread on here somewhere about the Trail 125 nla for Australia import, no? To my understanding, the Auzzie powers that be instituted a 2-channel non-off-road m/c abs requirement, and Honda's minimotos only feature front abs of course.

I wonder. They're made in Thailand. Do they sell a lot of them in Thailand ? Europe ? Asia ?
What do you think ? USA mostly ? Best guess ?
I think these bikes are a main form of transportation in third world countries, but the goods ol USA
will probably but more than the others in the end.

Utility overseas and southeast asia aside, North Americans still buy these bikes because they're just straight up fun. There's an entire community of people who are passionate about small bore motorcycles and things like a CT125 are still very useful to anybody who commutes 10 or 15 miles on a daily basis. Heck, my commute is 22 miles and I use mine on a very regular basis for commuting. Super Cubs fit this decription too.

Who rides bikes like the Honda Trail 125??? This is who.

Men who want to ride a really fun, quality motorcycle that will deliver one a hundred miles to the gallon of gas, men who don't have to ride a BIG motorcycle to
advertise that they are men, men that can pull up next to a sluggish overpriced Harley wearing his "bad ass" Halloween costume consisting of dirty jeans, denim shirt
with the sleeves cut off to show his puny arms all tatted up, sweaty old scarf around his balding head and half shell helmet with no padding inside and his pony tail hanging out,
the only hair he has and stickers on the back of it saying , " if you can read this the bitch fell off!" No, really, I have owned about every bike they ever made including several Harleys
(including the Police Harley) I retired as a captain after 30 years on the job.

I just feel doing more with less is fun! Like LONG trips where I can go off road and through about 30 inches of water. I like riding a bike I can start up, take off right away
wearing shorts and a t shirt with nothing written on it. I also love pulling up next to those "posers" on their Harley at a red light and asking them if their balls are roasting while
they sit between those gas guzzling vibrating twin cylinder furnaces on a 95 degree hot day when the blacktop road is radiating 110 degrees. Then asking if they want to race. LOL,
I love my Honda trail!!!!!

FYI I look like the typical harley rider but I quit buying Harleys in the 90s, like you I've owned about everything and I always get a chuckle when a harley guy asks me why I'm not on a harley, I always tell them I can afford the bike, I just can't afford the thousands of dollars of new clothes I'd have to buy. Ok I'm done picking on the "real bikers". As far as I'm concerned if you bought it you ride it no matter what it is, for the most part we all ride our wallets don't we?

But that just me.

Rode my Parakeet Yellow C70 Passport Deluxe to lunch today. Great little errand bike, just don't eat too much or it might not have the power to bring you back home.

Had one just like it. Bought it at a garage sale for $60 in the late 80s. Fixed the two flats cleaned up the carb and she ran like a top. Sadly she was one of many casualties of my step sons teenage years

She is the spitting image of my “Daisy” except she has the leg shield and no duck tape! I’ve got a blue one now

I have been helping a friend track down a few vintage Japanese bikes he wants to import for his collection and I stumbled upon "GooBike" which is a Japanese motorcycles classifieds site.
Searching GooBike for "CT125 HUNTER CUB" right now returns 791 results, 261 of which are used. I haven't noticed any duplicate listings, so that's a LOT of bikes relative to the 9 used on MotoHunt right now. Of course neither are inclusive of all used listings as there are other platforms and methods for selling motorcycle. I thought I would limit the comparison to used bikes since on MotoHunt I have noticed that dealers list "NEW" motorcycles that they don't actually have available in their inventory.
Hopefully this provides some perspective on the popularity of the CT125 in other regions, since we don't have Honda sales or production numbers to really know who's buying these bikes.
