Just following up, I did talk to Ryan, and he seemed like a good guy. It’s amazing what being friendly and helpful does for you in a sales job these days. He has no idea when or if he’ll get another CT125 - or anything - back in stock, but I gave him my number and he said he’ll call if he gets one in. Back to an earlier comment I made, if you look at the shop’s inventory, they have nothing. 6 Hondas in stock. A handful of Suzuki’s. Ryan said typically he could order any bike in the catalog and have it in a few weeks. Now Yamaha can’t build ATV’s because they can’t get plastic pellets for the body, other companies can’t get tires because there is no rubber, and Honda sends what they send when they send it. They can’t even tell him what they are getting or when. And that seems odd to me, but I guess delivery schedules are just as messed up as everything else right now.
I’m not in a huge hurry. It would be cool to putter around this fall, but winters here are long and miserable, so if I did get one this year, I’d probably put it in the basement and turn it into an urban escape vehicle.
