    Gear Indicator

If all you need is a gear shift indicator (as opposed to a tach) Beezdeals in Thailand sells them for about $25. I have one on both of our bikes and have found them a very useful addition.

    13 tooth sprockets

As of a month or so ago, there is not a 13T sprocket available for the 2023 model, at least here in Thailand where the CT is made. The 13T front sprocket for the DAX, which the CT shares a number of engine parts with, does not fit. Also note that the shape of the splines on the countershaft...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

Another update. I think I added it above but we did confirm the 13T countershaft sprocket for the DAX does fit the 2023. However, the DAX retainer ring for the counter shaft sprocket does not seat correctly so does not work. Honda has apparently not only tapered the counter shaft a little bit...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

Thanks for the link @m in sc. Eddie is researching whether kits like this can be made to work on the CT. In looking at the pictures, he said the BBK and CT have the same number of cooling fins so that might be a good sign that it could be workable. Couple other things we found out today...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

Also, one other data point. We did pick up gear shift indicators to add to the bikes. Eddie did verify the sensor whatchamajig (it is a little round looking thing down by countershaft sprocket) is still the same as what is on his bike so he thinks the shift indicator should work fine. He has...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

@dmonkey, thanks for the great into. Just to confirm, it is the splines on the front sprocket that have been adjusted. I did swing buy Honda today and picked up pair of 13T front sprockets and a pair of 42T back sprockets to experiment with. The Honda tech said the front sprocket was the same...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

@dmonkey thanks for the link! I will be with Eddie tomorrow for a ride and will ask him. By the way, do you know if the motor in the 2023 Trail is the same as in the new Grom? We were thinking it is only the DAX that shares the same engine. Also, just as an aside, this morning Eddie tried to...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

EDIT: I forgot to add Eddie also suggested trimming additional weight off the bikes...the after market accessories we added (crash bars, passenger seat / pegs, back box, etc) added about 17 KG's to the bikes weight so we are also going to swap out the swing arm for an aluminum one and dump the...

Rode Lazy Dog's CT with 142cc BBK

Hi all, thought about putting this in the BBK thread that is going on but decided to do it here since this bike also has other mods that added to the performance. I am sure more then a few members here have seen Lazy Dog Productions vids on all of his R&D on the CT. He has also posted some...

    New

The wife and I are really enjoying the CT's. As other have said, if you are expecting a punch off the line or any kind of top end, you are picking the wrong bike. I got mine for exploring small villages where the roads are narrow and unpaved and for that they are the perfect tool for the job!

For Sale Gear Shift Indicator (in Thailand)

I wound up with 2 extra gear shift indicators for the CT. NOTE: They came with no installation instructions. If you are in Thailand and want one the price is 1400THB which is what I paid for them. My apologies if you are outside of Thailand as I don't have any way to accept payment.

    Rear Rack Weight

Hi All, does anyone happen to know how much the rear rack weighs? I am thinking about replacing it with something lighter. Thanks!

Who buys these Trail 125's ???

Here in Thailand, I have seen only 3 CT's in the wild and one of those belonged to the owner of Beezdeals. The other 2 were ridden by riders in in their late 20's early 30's I would guess. They are built here but the dealerships here are still saying up to a 3 month wait to get one so at...

    Honda accessories

BeezDeals has its own Ebay store. I just purchased a ton of stuff from them for 2 bikes. I have the good fortune to live in Thailand so I was able go their facility in Bangkok to pick everything up in person. Great owner, she even has a red CT as her daily driver! I would not hesitate to buy...

    Hello From Thailand

Yes, I doubt I could have afforded to have everything I got from Beez and K-Speed shipped back to America. All the boxes filled up the bed of our truck. Plus, it was good to get to meet the owner at Beez in person and the folks at K-Speed. The Beez owner drives a CT as her personal ride. I...

    Helmets Compatible With Eyeglass Wearers

I just picked up a Scorpion ADV-2 Modular. Very comfortable and works with no problem with eye glasses. I only ride with the chin guard up under 20 miles per hour or so but it is perfect to grab a drink from my water bottle. Otherwise I tend to have the chin guard down and locked and the...

    Solid site

I ordered the motoskill center and front from Beezdeals. Since I am here in Thailand, I actually went to their location to pick everything up in person. I met the owner (it is a husband and wife team I believe, I met the wife part of the team) and she was fantastic to deal with. My wife is...

    Rumors

I spoke with 4 dealers (Cub Houses) here in Thailand when looking for both of my CT's. Both of them said the same thing, they would be hard to come by into next year, even here in Thailand where they are made. One of the dealers told me that most dealers here in Thailand were only allotted on...

    Shifting Question

Thanks for the comments! Just operator error on my part. If I switch to using my toe on the rear shift pad, I can hit 4th nice and smooth. I think the angle of the shifter makes it so I can't fully depress it with my heal so great advice on this. I imagine if the angle of the the shifter was...
