Booked a room on the north end of town, nothing special. Was going to get in town on Wed afternoon, but just found out my cousin is back in the hospital with what they call “Valley Fever” some type of respiratory disease that’s hard to control. Anyway gonna stop in Phoenix and visit and will arrive Thursday mid day and get settled in. Will track you all down when I get in and be ready to ride! ;)
Sorry to hear about your Cousin but am stoked that you'll still be able to join us! I'll be arriving late Thursday afternoon.

Unfortunately I'll be missing this meetup as well. House projects pushed back some of my plans where I have other traveling to do that weekend.
Hope y'all have a fun event and share some photos.

Bad news....Sad news, just got a call from a very good friend of mine, his son, 40years old just died of a heart attack :( our kids grew up together. The services are probably going to be next weekend which will make travel very difficult. I hope to make the trip out, but really in a bind now. I will keep you up to date, but may not be hosting the toast damn it!

I'm sorry to hear that NMCoyote. There will be other rides so no worries if you aren't able to make this one!

Well just rub some salt into the wound! I should have been traveling today as well, but sometimes life gets in the way of a good time. Have a great time and we will be looking for pictures of your adventures.

Be careful around there, lots of jackasses on Oatman Highway and touchy trigger fingers around town!

* This is a joke about donkeys that roam the area and the Oatman Outlaws theatrical group who perform western shootouts in the street for entertainment.

I was about to say something about the locals there, until I read the small print. I've played the part of the "Bad Guy Cowboy" for the train in Chama NM before, it was a blast!

I've spent the last 2 days riding with the nicest most considerate, capable and just all around great people I've ever ridden with. It made a amazing area to ride in even more spectacular. And the 1st time in yrs i was completely comfortable and not overloaded with supplies in case of emergency, I knew these guys had my back and I could concentrate on just riding whether I was leading or following. There was no competition, no egos involved just 3 guys who genuinely love to ride motorcycles although the best rider by a long shot was on a TW200 and could have easily led or left the 125s far behind. Instead this great rider was usually either in the back or constantly checking from the middle position to insure i was OK. And when we came to a few sections that was beyond the 125's we just turned around no complaints or BS just a common agreement that this weekend was about enjoying the area and bikes not who was the supreme 125 guru of the internet . Best weekend in a long time
