I was at my Dealer last week getting some stuff... and the SM and I spoke CT and this is an excerpt from the email - not trying to discourage anyone,,, however it doesn't sound great.... This is a medium to larger store in Ontario...

Subject: Re: Honda CT125 Trailsport ***

So, we are waiting for our Honda rep to get back to us about Trail and this could be a hit or miss move as well. Honda is pretty secretive about any production items and he may return empty handed - this is my expectation.

I talked about it with my manager to see what her view would be, and we are of the same opinion that Trail may not make it to Canada this year. Honda did this with Side-by-side Pioneer 700 and decided not to bring it to Canada for 2 years, and now it is back here again. I am getting a feeling they are doing the same here. Why? I would not know.

What we know so far is this. Trail is no shown on Honda web site, there are no units incoming to us as far as March, one unit I had ordered last Winter still hasn't shown up and now has been removed from our order system.

If I was to add all this up, it does not look promising.

I will still let you know when we hear from our rep, but as I said, he would not know and he would have to send the inquiry higher to people who may know, but may not be allowed to disclose the info."

I have received no update from my dealer either as he has heard nothing. So I cancelled my order, got my deposit back and put it immediately on a brand-new Triumph Speed 400 which looks fantastic and the youtube riding videos from the UK where they have already arrived, look like a lot of fun. Not the same class, I know, but what's a guy about to turn 70 going to do? Wait for Honda to make up their minds and decide to import something that they could sell hundreds of easily? Not for me.

If you or a friend have a trailer, just locate one across the border with motohunt and import it yourself. Yes, it will be much more expensive but you can get almost new ones with low mileage. There's a bunch of guys in Markham, Ontario that brought in Supercubs from Pennsylvania a couple of years ago.

The motorcycle show is coming to Toronto in three weeks. This is the one where the manufacturers setup and display all the new bikes. Last year is when I saw the CT125 on display and was told they (Honda) had announced the day before the show that the CT was being released in Canada.
Maybe Honda is waiting to do the same again this year?
I'll be going to the show and will be asking a Honda representative about any new CTs coming to Canada.

Yeah, really! I have just discovered the Trail this week and want one for my 70th birthday. Wondering if a cash deposit will snag me one… there is nothing else I want.

They took deposits immediately after the Trail125 was announced last year. Deliveries commenced in Late April with the West coast deliveries coming in first. Ontario deliveries started in the first week of May. So I would say go ahead and put in your deposit.

Thanks for the info. I will put down a deposit today for sure (I’m in Alberta)!

Mine arrived yesterday at the dealers in Manitoba, they look as good as I was expecting.
Thanks for the tip off! It ensured I moved FAST today. I put $1000 cash deposit to hold my Trail which will arrive in April. 2 units arrived here last Friday which had been ordered LAST YEAR!!! Gone Monday. I’m getting my choice of the 2 coming next month. That’s it. Nothing here last year and 4 this year. An hour’s fast drive on the Trans Canada got my foot in the door. I’m first in line. Not all that excited cause I’ve been very sick for over a week. BUT a woman’s gotta do what a woman’s gotta do to get what she wants. I call this bike A Little Old Ladies’ bike. It really takes me back to the UK in ‘75 when I got my first motorcycle… a Honda 125. There were SO many bikes like this all over the place, a lot being ridden by little old ladies (such as I have become). This Trail will be my 9th bike and 5th Honda. Definitely my last bike. A real déjà vous from 50 years past. I’ll be turning 70 in May. Nice shiney gift to myself! Just ordered a red ARAI helmet. Smart combination! Unfortunately there was no yellow in my size (more visible!) but defensive driving trumps counting on being seen in my experience. I assume no one sees me and they’re all out to kill me. So my last decade (or 2) of riding should be a lot of fun around town and the back roads. From Medicine Hat, Alberta, Happy Trails to you!

Picked my 125 up on Wednesday March 20. I had ordered it a about 6 weeks ago . My dealer in Fonthill ON had two come in on the 15th of March . The second one sold on Tuesday morning as soon as they opened . If it has not already been said ,the Canadian bikes are red with a gloss black back rack . The also have the 4th to neutral trans . I am an old man and not too good with computers , but if someone wants to start a small bore gang in Ontario I am all in . PS I also have a 300L so lots of red in the garage .

Congrats! Count me in. I'm located in North York.

I wanted to do a one day round robin ride to Forks of the credit road soon as the weather warms up.

Toronto is my home town. Wish I could join your gang! But, sadly, I’m stuck here in the middle of nowhere in SE Alberta, aka No Man’s Land. Flat gravel roads forever and not a tree in sight. Sigh… but I’m getting a Trail anyway. I need to go 75 kms away to Elkwater to find trees and trails… an oasis in the desert. It sucks but that’s it for me.

You might want something faster to traverse such large empty expanses. A CB 500x perhaps. It has the same seat height surprisingly.

Thanks for the suggestion but nope. I’ve had 125s, 250s, a 400, a 500 and a 600. Now I want a “Little Old Ladies Bike” for around town. Trying to slow down and smell the cactus. Also I wanted a step-through, post-stroke. Hard to swing my right leg over a seat. This Trail is for my 70th birthday. For sure my last bike. I will manage. Just would rather live in Southern Ontario for riding. I miss the geography…

The dealer in Victoria BC tells me I am first on the list, and there is one on the way "sometime in April, could be the 1st or the 30th"

Ok... waiting...
