Same here. Dealer told me I was #3 on the list.Burnaby, BC.
Yeah, really! I have just discovered the Trail this week and want one for my 70th birthday. Wondering if a cash deposit will snag me one… there is nothing else I want.I have received no update from my dealer either as he has heard nothing. So I cancelled my order, got my deposit back and put it immediately on a brand-new Triumph Speed 400 which looks fantastic and the youtube riding videos from the UK where they have already arrived, look like a lot of fun. Not the same class, I know, but what's a guy about to turn 70 going to do? Wait for Honda to make up their minds and decide to import something that they could sell hundreds of easily? Not for me.
They took deposits immediately after the Trail125 was announced last year. Deliveries commenced in Late April with the West coast deliveries coming in first. Ontario deliveries started in the first week of May. So I would say go ahead and put in your deposit.Yeah, really! I have just discovered the Trail this week and want one for my 70th birthday. Thanks for the info. I will put down a deposit today for sure (I’m in Alberta)! They took deposits immediately after the Trail125 was announced last year. Thanks for the tip off! It ensured I moved FAST today. I put $1000 cash deposit to hold my Trail which will arrive in April. 2 units arrived here last Friday which had been ordered LAST YEAR!!! Gone Monday. I’m getting my choice of the 2 coming next month. That’s it. Nothing here last year and 4 this year. An hour’s fast drive on the Trans Canada got my foot in the door. I’m first in line. Not all that excited cause I’ve been very sick for over a week. BUT a woman’s gotta do what a woman’s gotta do to get what she wants. I call this bike A Little Old Ladies’ bike. It really takes me back to the UK in ‘75 when I got my first motorcycle… a Honda 125. There were SO many bikes like this all over the place, a lot being ridden by little old ladies (such as I have become). This Trail will be my 9th bike and 5th Honda. Definitely my last bike. A real déjà vous from 50 years past. I’ll be turning 70 in May. Nice shiney gift to myself! Just ordered a red ARAI helmet. Smart combination! Unfortunately there was no yellow in my size (more visible!) but defensive driving trumps counting on being seen in my experience. I assume no one sees me and they’re all out to kill me. So my last decade (or 2) of riding should be a lot of fun around town and the back roads. From Medicine Hat, Alberta, Happy Trails to you!Mine arrived yesterday at the dealers in Manitoba, they look as good as I was expecting.
See this thread:Picked my 125 up on Wednesday March 20. I had ordered it a about 6 weeks ago . My dealer in Fonthill ON had two come in on the 15th of March . The second one sold on Tuesday morning as soon as they opened . If it has not already been said ,the Canadian bikes are red with a gloss black back rack . The also have the 4th to neutral trans . I am an old man and not too good with computers , but if someone wants to start a small bore gang in Ontario I am all in . PS I also have a 300L so lots of red in the garage .
Ha Ha we will put an M/C in the lower corner of are vest .See this thread:

"Gang! You're joining a Gang! WTF!" Said Wife
Toronto is my home town. Wish I could join your gang! But, sadly, I’m stuck here in the middle of nowhere in SE Alberta, aka No Man’s Land. Flat gravel roads forever and not a tree in sight. Sigh… but I’m getting a Trail anyway. I need to go 75 kms away to Elkwater to find trees and trails… an oasis in the desert. It sucks but that’s it for me.Ha Ha we will put an M/C in the lower corner of are vest .
You might want something faster to traverse such large empty expanses. A CB 500x perhaps. It has the same seat height surprisingly.Toronto is my home town. Wish I could join your gang! Thanks for the suggestion but nope. I’ve had 125s, 250s, a 400, a 500 and a 600. Now I want a “Little Old Ladies Bike” for around town. Trying to slow down and smell the cactus. Also I wanted a step-through, post-stroke. Hard to swing my right leg over a seat. This Trail is for my 70th birthday. For sure my last bike. I will manage. Just would rather live in Southern Ontario for riding. I miss the geography…You might want something faster to traverse such large empty expenses. A CB 500x perhaps.
