Corbin seat

I wanted to ask if anyone's tried the seat by Corbin? I see a lot of people talking about the Diablo but hadn't seen any input on this one. Made by a real professional motorcycle seat company and customizable (and matching rear seat option). Pretty spendy though.

@G19Tony has that seat and it's a beaut. I'd also be interested to hear a more long term, or long ride, review.

I didn't know Corbin had one for this bike. I've used them on other bikes in the past and while I always thought they were pricey, my experience is they are worth it once they're broken in. Wow! Just looked it up and don't know whether I can justify almost $500 for it though. Maybe if I was doing the TAT or some other long range ride.

my local guy will hand build one for half that, ive had him build me like 5 seats for vintage bikes.. lol. 500 for a trail seat is ridiculous. I paid roughly the same for the corbin i had on my concourse a few yrs ago, thats like 4 times the size. I mean, its nice but you are paying mostly for the name.

I don't have my trail yet so maybe i'll actually like the infamous uncomfortable seat, but if not the diablo seems like a no brainer with the corbin being that pricey. Like that's not even a decision to make.

In reality i'm coming from the cycling world and i'm used to lots of long days full of discomfort so i'm sure the diablo and even the stock seat will feel luxurious to me compared to the seat on my roadie.

I know a few people who tour on antique motorcycles and wear padded cycling shorts, some swear by them. They make much more sense to me in preserving and displaying the original or era correct equipment on an antique motorcycle, but they're also an inexpensive oddball option for any situation where someone might not want to replace their saddle or add a cover to it. Good for some laughs off the bike as well!

beleive me, i dump *plenty* of money in my bikes, but thats no reason to over pay for something either. the diablo seat has been great. .02
Is the Diablo seat more comfortable then or is it just looks? I've been considering options to improve the stock seat. After several days in the saddle most any seat hurts until your butt breaks in. However, money spent on a better seat is money well spent if you spend much time on it. But $500!!!! WTF. I would want the seat to massage my ass after I'm done riding for that $$$.

I used to do that on my XR650R. Alright for a day ride, but those spandex but pads are pretty nasty after a couple of days. I upgraded to a better seat.

I have been through a bunch of seats on cruisers as well as my electric bike. Never found a great one but I have no complaints about the factory seat on the Honda Trail. For me this bike won't ever be a "cruise-control 60 miles until the next exit" machine. A couple miles and I am on-off opening a gate or shifting/leaning/standing on the pegs etc.

Spent last weekend on the Mississippi Hill Country spur of the TAT. By the end of the first day my rear was killing me and I was using the bicycle short trick. I’m going to give the Diablo a try and keep using the shorts.

Been waiting for my diablo seat, the oem seat is a real buttkiller. Can’t see dumping half a grand for a Corbin. Had one on my 02 Road King Classic, black jeweled glass studs all the way around the side, it was a nice saddle.
