I rode a little at night last night. It’s ok for me, not great but ok. I won’t ride much at night. I may still find a little led light bar though.

man oh man ladies and gents! so I got the cute little pod lights mounted to my bash bars and wired up. i don't like the switch but for testing its fine. i have them aimed out and down casting a flood of lumens out front of the bike. tonight when it gets dark ill get some pics of the set up.

took it for a test ride last night and was very happy with the results. a simple set up makes me happy.

Looking forward to some pics of the set up. I was out last night, and find the headlight adequate, but I would add light if I saw a nice set up.

Looks like the pods fill in the area closer and wider to the bike? Leaving the distance to the high beam? Good pics.
The picture of just the headlight was just the low beam the high beam wasn't on and you are correct the Pod lights do fill in that area of light underneath it and personally I believe give me a far better visual ahead

Looks like the auxiliary lights are the way to go for getting it dialed in for your lighting requirements. Also once you've got the switch and relay set up how you like it would be trivial to swap out lamps if you want different beam pattern or tint.
Cheap and easy and there's a huge market to choose from.
Good work!

edit: I did look around for headlights that might plug-n-play and I found some that might be able to work with some wiring harness modification, but they just don't seem...Trail-worthy.
There are a bunch of different sizes but they all seem so busy and the price is suspiciously low. Here's one that's an example but probably wrong size.
It seems like a benefit of having the auxiliary lights lower is that they will light up any objects in the road from a different angle and perhaps give a more complete picture of the road ahead.
Would love to hear your impressions after tooling around at night.
