Got the call this morning. Two trails came in unexpectedly came in Ceilidh Honda NewGlasgow NovaScotia. Went over and purchased immediately.
They told me nine people had deposits I had a deposit placed on February 21.
That’s great news!
I’m still waiting for a call from Toy’s in Moncton. I was the first one to put a deposit there, on February 18. 😗

Well it’s official - got mine today at noon Kingston ON - first 50km down and it’s pretty cool … one neg. only, seriously pushing down to upshift 🤪 - I’ve got almost 30yrs with a clutch and “UP”shifting … I’ll give it a bit but I’m not sure if I’ll like it…

Thanks.. we are hoping the USA racks have the same mounting points, but we are starting to worry as the part numbers don't seem to say that they do.
The four small threaded holes on the top of the rack are M6 and the two larger at the front top are M8. The thread pitches are the same as the rest of the socket screws on the bike.
I can confirm yes many threaded mounting points - one other item I noticed from the US model people showing two similar bolts looking like oil drains and to not use one with copper washer - this ‘23 Eng only has one bolt to eliminate issues perhaps !?

Congrats! Buddy.
To get the best shifting, see this video.

.

BTW pushing down to upshift is the standard in most of Asia.

Yeah I saw that a while ago I like his content... standard or not it's going to take a minute, 30yrs the correct way is just bit ingrained..... fortunately you are going so slow you can always correct as many times as you need too ..... :ROFLMAO:

Took me a day or 5 to get used to it. I find that so long as I use the heel to gear down I don’t get confused. Certainly had a few times where I went to up shift with my toes pushing up to hear to motor screaming.

I’ve got around 300km on it now and feels comfortable. I have taken my Goldwing out several times on the same day riding my trail, never got confused. Like I say, for me, if I use the heal shifter, prevents me getting confused. You need to bear with it for a few rides and force yourself to use the heal shifter. Feels normal now. I’ve been riding for around 30 years as well. I started out with a Honda c90 with the same shift pattern. I actually forgot it was reverse of what I consider normal. You will get used to it, trust me!

Yeah I figured so .... I only have a couple K's on it - its been a day - not worried... the coolness of this little thing outweighs a couple quicks....

Nice 👍🏼 ill be rolling by with mine early Aug heading to NB
If you really want to enjoy yourself on a the Trail, consider citing across Vermont and Maine to get there. Much nicer roads for smaller bikes! If you do, send me a pm and I’d be glad to meet you and ride a little section 👍

Nice! Should be M6 for the rear 4 holes in the JA65 rack same as the JA55, M8 for the new front 2 holes nearest to the grab bar on the JA65. Based on parts diagrams for the Honda Japan accessories that mount there.

Just an fyi since everyone mentioned bolts - all the grade 8 in pic are M8 (4) and the stainless is M6 (4) … more than originally mentioned

So after 150km and 4L of fuel 🤣, your tip I think made the difference to always down shift with your heel…. Mind you it didn’t stop me from 3 or 4 ‘up shifts’ into 1st…. Ouch,,, it will grow on me… I also like the 4th to N stopped

She’s home. Riding it back to the house was a blast despite it being rather chilly today. Only one accidental shift going up with the toe when I should of gone down😬 I’ll get use to the 🇨🇦 shift pattern quickly enough 🤞View attachment 5669

I know it sounds weird, but for the old guys whose ankles are too stiff to use their heel on the heel shifter, try lifting your foot off the foot peg, and use the pad of your foot on the heel shifter. A very popular way of shifting in Asia. After you have done it 15 times, it will become natural, and you will be able to wear flip-flops on your way to the beach at Lake Winnipeg. Everything is down with the pad of your foot.
