So after 150km and 4L of fuel 🤣, your tip I think made the difference to always down shift with your heel…. Mind you it didn’t stop me from 3 or 4 ‘up shifts’ into 1st…. Ouch,,, it will grow on me… I also like the 4th to N stopped
Glad you are getting used to it. I also bent in my toe and heal shifter since my feet are size 13, made it much more comfortable. There is a video on you tube. The shifter comes off easy without having to remove the foot peg. Some videos show guys taking the foot peg off, maybe for the previous gen that was needed. I also tried moving it down a notch but didn’t like it.

I know it sounds weird, but for the old guys whose ankles are too stiff to use their heel on the heel shifter, try lifting your foot off the foot peg, and use the pad of your foot on the heel shifter. A very popular way of shifting in Asia. After you have done it 15 times, it will become natural, and you will be able to wear flip-flops on your way to the beach at Lake Winnipeg. Everything is down with the pad of your foot.

I’ll give that a try

Noticed on my bike it does not shut off when side stand is engaged .It will also start with stand down.I thought all bikes as a safety measure would not start with kick stand down. Any feedback would be most welcome.

It will start with the kick stand down but if you try to move with it in gear it will stall on you. I found out at the gas station, couldn’t figure out why it kept cutting out as soon as I tried to move. Thought I had bad gas then saw my kickstand was still down.

Please clarify. I don't think you mean it stopped when you tried to move. I think you meant to say that it stopped when you put it in gear? I think you are allowed to start and run the engine with the kickstand down while the transmission is in neutral. Big Ruckus. I assume your bike was in neutral when you put the kickstand down and the engine kept running? If so, I think that is the way it is supposed to work. It should stop if you put the kickstand down while the transmission is any gear except neutral. Please correct me if I am wrong.. thanks.

Precisely. The delivery specialist at my dealer demonstrated this feature to me to make sure I understood because an amazing number of people call the dealership afterwards and complain about the bike dying, or the kick start feature "not working".

Y'all need to Read The Fine Manual.

I think this is learnt by all fairly quickly upon delivery….it’s great it starts with stand down in N - lots of bikes don’t….

The one that got me was key on in gear not running, kick stand up and I was pushing it out of the way <2kph and bam it started up I was like ‘what the…..’ cool and so easy to bump start

You could be right about that. I will need to try and replicate the next time I go out.

Picked it up last week, put about 100km on it this weekend… Awesome little bike, super happy with it.

Will take some getting used to but so far no complaints.

Installed the Honda front and centre carrier, they look great.

Congrats. Make sure you check the oil level. I and other Canadian owners found oil at lower mark on newly delivered bikes.

Thanks for the heads up.
I did check the oil before the first ride, Was about 40% above bottom fill line.

we are in Ottawa and heres my 2022 Trail next to my wifes 2021 Supercub. Both were imported from the US prior to the Trail being availible in Canada. My CT125 is a JA55 with red back rack with only (4) M6 bolt-ons. Those M8s would be handy.
I have 1970 CT90 and a 1981 C70 project bikes which have stagnated since purchasing these.
Cheers!

Nice pair!
I’m hoping that Honda will bring the Super Cub to Canada in the near future, I want one as well.
How involved was the process to import a US model? I’ve researched it somewhat myself.

Importing took a bit of a hassle, but manageable. Fortunately these bikes meet safety and environmental standards for all of North America so no mods were required. Vehical imports can only pass the border between 8-5 M-F and we got them in Virginia, so a weeknight overnight stay was required, which was a bit of a hassle. The cost was more than buying here, but we didn’t Know if they would ever be imported to Canada.
