Lmk if above 50 you hear anything rubbing on the mud flap bolts. My thought is the tire expands outward and rubs the bolts. I was thinking about shaving them down, could be worse or better with a higher fender.I put the 3 incher Shinko 244s front and back. There’s definitely clearance issues on the front- had to remove fender to test-ride. It’s demonstrably different. You can feel the slight rise in CG and the bike doesn’t carve on asphalt nearly as nicely as with stock- just more effort required. Also more tire noise. I ordered the fender lift kit for the sake of time, but I dont like how it looks on the web. I may design a custom riser with say, 7/8” rise for my machinist to fabricate. If so, I’ll see what pricing looks like in bulk, in case I may sell them to forum members.
Lots of rocks grabbed by the tires do scrape the inside of the fender for me. Mostly in gravel.
