Yes, it fell out of place. You'll need to pull the right side crankcase cover again and line it back up, reassemble. Some tips that have been shared are to lay the bike on its left side, and/or to use grease to hold the parts in place as it's a fight against gravity. I have a
photo of it assembled in another thread on this topic.
It looks like you've already got the service manual opened to 2-23 for that diagram, make sure the dot is lined up on the clutch lever as well. Step 1 on page 2-23.
