Sort of last minute trip plan and looking for advice on getting ADV map loaded to iPhone. I here so much about alternate routes to avoid more challenging sections as well as added sections but not finding these so easily. Any advice or experience with this would be appreciated. Leaving on 8/11/2023

Thinking about doing it next month on the 500. Report back with an AAR and pics. Enjoy!

If you are on Facebook the Smokey Mountains 500 group on there maintains .gpx tracks files of the route and should be able to let you know about the current route challenges: https://www.facebook.com/groups/698628080200070/
If you aren't on Facebook, try this thread on ADV Forum: https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/smokey-mountain-500.926507/
This was extre, ely helpful. I had a friend move them into Gaia app for me and worked well on old iPhone mounted on cross bar with cradle

When traveling the SM 500!we were amidst a significant storm with blow down and many trees across USFS roads requiring go rounds and lifting bike over downed trees as well as driving over many limbs and branches. Took it slow and bike performed exceptionally well in all instances not too mention light enough to lift front over downed trees (18” wide or so) then slide on skid plate and over! Pack for the worst from safety standpoint because your way in there at points on the journey.
