I'm wondering how Scarce these CT's are. I went and called them, and two days later toted it home with me $4298.00 is what it cost me. Is the rest of the world waiting for these CT's to be made? and then paying 'over' MSRP.....?

Nice job, you got it quickly and at a reasonable price. The search box will lead you to many, many others similar and different experiences...

You got a better deal than many. Prices are all over the place depending on location, inventory, demand, and now which generation since the 2023 model (JA65) is updated from the first generation (JA55). I think folks in the UK *might* be paying the most for these bikes, since they're buying them as grey market imports which can be an expensive process.

This Honda Trail 125 isn't sold in many markets, so not much of the world is getting them. Thailand (where they're manufactured), Japan, Indonesia, USA, Canada (as of 2023), and New Zealand are some of the countries the bike is known to be sold in. It was also sold in Australia, but no longer is. There are parts on the bike that are region specific, so parts vary by country and they're not all plucked from the same batch of bikes off the assembly line.

There has been some discussion on what the market for these bikes is. I'm of the opinion that the Japanese market has been Honda's primary focus for the CT125.

MSRP is $3,999 but then American Honda adds a Destination Charge of $200 and a Freight Surcharge of $100, so what you ended up paying is $1 shy of the total listed price.
There's also taxes and registration that vary by location, with some paying that at the dealer rather than their DMV.

Don't forget the highly skilled and worthwhile dealer prep and setup :ROFLMAO:

i bought my CB1100 from rockingham, well had them bring it in to rockhill for me, so wa s adealer trade/favor. Rockingham is a great dealer that moves a LOT of inventory.

My trail in SC new, when they 1st came out ( i preordered mine) was a smidge over 5k, 5075 i think to be exact. i didn't have to go to the dmv, pay property tax after the fact, or anything, and i was just fine w that. dealer made about 350 in pure profit, they flat out told me and that's fine. anything over a few hundred of that is just ridiculous. w out a bit of dealer profit, we are going to lose retail locations, so im ok w them making a few bucks.

The Price don't matter much, those of us who were able and could come up with the funds already got a deal no matter the price. With the state of affairs presently, the dollar is set for a correction, I think. So as the buck is becoming worthless Fiat money, we are the winners who ....get one.... before calamity strikes. ........

$4,298? tax, title, and registration out the door? No way, I'm calling BS. ;)
No really. that's what I dealt with Wednesday last , ...........June 7
Curious, there aparently don't seem to be much call here except by die-hard CT folks, thus were not getting raked over the coals with dealer added gouging costs. They also had a red 22 for a K less than the 23 model

Nothing new available out here, but one used '22 local online for $6,200. Yikes. He'll prolly get it. If they'd climb hills he have sold it by now.

are you in a state where sales tax isn't required on new vehicles under 5k?
oh gosh I wish. NC. is pretty up on taxing it's citizens, but a great deal better than some other states. And I'm going to answer no on the 5K thing, not actually knowing the answer, actual truth.

I could literally buy that, ship it, sell it over here, and make a profit.

I just bought my CT125 after being without a bike for a couple of years. My bike was ordered for a guy who disappeared before it arrived, so it was standing right there, brand new on the floor. It's a 2022 model with zero miles. Price was $4747 OTD with TTL included. The bikes are very uncommon in our area and I'm glad to have it! Location is east of Houston, Texas.

Seeing them on some dealer floors here for $4700-4900 OTD, which here in Texas means TT&L as we pay the tax at the dealer. They aren't as scarce here as they are in some parts of the country but they are still few and far between and they don't sit for very long when they do arrive.
